We create events where pre-owned goods are exchanged, donated and dispatched to less privileged or in needs communities.

We associate each swap party to a cause and we fundraise for projects related to waste management, hand-made clothes, sustainability

campaigns

We provide education related to the fashion industry's impact on the environment .

We love to connect several communities involved Iin sustainability combing activities such as talk, beach cleanups to remove litter around coastline and many other creative upcycling programs

EDUCATIoN

We focus on youth and younger generation to explain the value of what we wear and how it is produced to growth awareness since young age about the fast fashion impact on our society. We also work to rise confidence in teenagers about be more confident about their own fashion style and less slave of fashion trends.

PAST

Bali Swap was started in 2018, at Bluebear Skate Park, Ubud. It is a community initiative where clothing and accessories are swapped with friends and the larger Bali community who come to exchange pre-loved items of fashion, in an event where there is no monetary transaction, only love for the environment. More notably, strangers come together to exchange their clothes, but go back home having made new friends and found better purpose for their pre-loved clothes.Bali Swab first initiated and co-founded by Daniela Budi, Bandana Tewari, Dominique Diyose and Ivan Handoyo, who comes with believes in the happiness that comes from looking after people and the planet, from being delightful custodians of our community and environment. But most of all, they believe in small changes that lead to big, meaningful impact.

PRESENT

Today with so much knowledge and education about environmental damage and climate crisis, we know that each one of us is contributing to the crisis by the daily choices we make. One of them is how we individually buy and dispose the clothes we purchase, especially since they are cheap and momentarily trendy, sold to us with the promise of disposability not longevity. Daniela and Dominique lead as founders BaliSwap supported by amazing supporters and partners sharing the same values and mission

FUTURE

BaliSwap has being constantly growing along the years . We believe is time to reach a larger community of activists in the island to showcase the issue related to fast fashion pollution but also to expose the amazing achievements of many , companies and venues, truly engaged in protecting our planet . In this vision BaliSwap will start traveling in the next editions outside its home base BLUE BEAR BALI to reach as many eco-warriors as possible

We are a nonprofit organization championing healthier lifestyle and environment. Our partners and volunteers work together to ensure that our daily habits teem with a more sustainable lifestyle.

HOW our parties work

We receive pre-owned clothes

JOIN OUR EVENTS

We invite swappers to bring their

treasures at a certain time.

We inspect the clothes and sort them

in two main categories :

- SILVER : not branded , used, casual wear

-GOLDEN : brand labels, new items, luxury wear.

We provide you tokens to be exchange

equal to the amount consigned.

At the check-in counter we offer tickets for the

raffle fundraising

We display and arrange the swap

corners

It normally takes us an hour to arrange the swap shop and in the meantime

we provide talks and entertainment to our clothes' donors

We announce date location and time

Once you have found your new clothes you can return the tokens and check-out

Each edition is dedicated to different

project and communities.

We provide talk and education about sustainability with fun, live music or dj.

After the party we announce the

winners of the raffle prizes

or we perform auction to support our

fundraising mission.

Donations

Left over garments are dispatched to different

projects: to communities in needs,

designers, tailors, companies interested in

up-cycle fashion to give new life to pre-owned textile and clothes.

Income fund-raised is passed to the founder of the not for profit project sponsored

Between drop - off and the begin of the swap party we need some time to display and arrange the store at our best to give you the feeling you are in real shop even if compleltly free.

Please be patient and offer to volunteer if interested

Each Volume of Baliswap we try to work together with

communities who has the same vision and mission of sustainability.

Our mission is to create impact together on the beach, sea and oceans. Over a third (35 percent) of all micro-plastics released into the world’s oceans are from synthetic textiles.

Million tons of them are discharged into wastewater each year from the washing of synthetic clothes and synthetic dyeing (colorants).

There are so many ways we can do together to prevent these by doing small simple actions but we have to do it together.
